Trader Joe's have been busy beavers this past week!
The big news at Trader Joe’s this week was the release of their new/old yogurt packaging. If you have been eating at Trader Joe’s for any length of time, you know that they would sell yogurts in a six pack. Two flavors in each six pack. Like Blueberry and Vanilla, three of each in a six pack. But as you probably know, if you had kids like me, is that you might like one flavor and not the other. My kids loved blueberry and the vanilla ones would stack up in the fridge and I couldn’t eat them fast enough. We threw out a lot of yogurt.
Well, thankfully Trader Joe’s heard their customers and will now sell individual versions of these yogurts, but of course, they also raised the price on them. Now they are $.69 per container which when you buy six of them is more than the $3.99 for a six pack. But for me, this is great because less waste, and I can get the flavors I like! Trader Joe’s was a little light on new products this week, so we didn’t have a post about it, but they have released some new products today and we haven’t had time to post them so stay tuned to the blog next Monday when we typically write a post about new products.

Trader Joe’s Spizzico di Pizza Review
Trader Joe’s, where the aisles are a veritable cornucopia of culinary curiosities, a product that has haunted the freezer section for years, we have: “Spizzico di Pizza”. Loosely translating from Italian as “Little Bites of Pizza” (because why settle for a boring English name when you can add a dash of faux-European flair?), these mini morsels are the latest attempt to shrink the essence of Italian cuisine into something that can be devoured in two bites or less. Each tiny, 2.5-inch diameter pizza is a testament to the age-old adage that size isn’t everything, bravely topped with a quartet of cheeses – Mozzarella, Cheddar, Swiss, and Parmesan. This cheese blend is about as authentically Italian as pineapple on pizza, but hey, when has authenticity ever stopped Trader Joe’s from embarking on a culinary adventure? Let’s dive into these mini discs of pleasure…
Trader Joe’s Super Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough Review
Trader Joe’s, the quirky grocery chain known for its fanatical following and Hawaiian shirt-clad staff, has recently decided to test the boundaries of chocolate indulgence with their new Super Chocolatey Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough. Now, before you rush out to hoard this dough like it’s the last lifeboat on the Titanic, let’s be real: it’s just cookie dough. But not just any cookie dough, mind you. This one apparently went through a chocolate overdose in the factory, emerging with chunks so large, that they could easily be classified as mini chocolate boulders. So, let’s preheat our ovens and our skepticism as we delve into this latest cocoa concoction from the eccentric aisles of Trader Joe’s.
Trader Joe’s Fiery Chicken
Update (2024) This dish for some reason has gotten much spicier than when it was released about five years ago. So buckle up!
Get ready to ignite a flavor inferno with Trader Joe’s Spicy Chicken Curry, a Goan-inspired dish that’s not just hot, it’s scorch-the-earth spicy. This isn’t your grandma’s mild curry; it’s a full-on taste bud assault, daringly combining blistering heat with succulent pieces of chicken. And let’s not forget the turmeric yellow rice – a vibrant sidekick that’s more than just a pretty face, it’s a turmeric-tinged treasure in its own right.
Trader Joe’s Os Cereal Bars Review
In the latest installment of Trader Joe’s quest to revolutionize our snacking habits, they’ve rolled out the ‘Trader Joe’s O’s Cereal Bars,’ a snack that promises a symphony of flavors and textures. Imagine this: the legendary Joe’s Os, the cereal that’s been the unsung hero of breakfast bowls nationwide, now daringly combined with roasted peanuts and a ‘lightly salted’ peanut butter. And as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve crowned it with a drizzle of peanut-flavored coating – because, why not?
