This is typically the slowest time of the year for Trader Joe’s and new product releases. The biggest thing in the past couple of weeks is the Trader Joe’s Mini Canvas Tote Bags of which we were able to grab several of them by luck we just happened to be shopping at our local Trader Joe’s had them out and they were gone in hours. I talked to the manager of my store and he said they will probably get another shipment but not for a couple of months. These were in yellow, green, blue and red. The new ones will be in different colors than the first release. Pink? Purple? who knows. Instant collectibles? He also said to look for the mini insulated bags coming out March 20th! It should be another frenzy at your local TJ’s that day!
Here is a roundup of our latest reviews and recipes for the past week:
Sofa Dinners Langostinos and Jalapeno Salad Roll Recipe
We had another great guest recipe post from Kathy Marshall over at Sofa Dinners and she came up with a yummy sandwich using mostly Trader Joe’s ingredients and one ingredient that leaves a lot of people scratching their heads to figure out how to use it but Kathy deftly figured out a unique and scrumptious way to use this hard to figure out ingredient, Langostino tails. Here is what she said about this recipe: “A trio of Trader Joe’s jalapeno products (Jalapeno Sauce, Crispy Jalapeno Pieces, and Hot & Sweet Jalapenos), some TJ’s Chimichurri Sauce, and TJ’s Langostino Tails are mixed to create a luscious version of a New England style “Lobster Roll” that packs some heat and is served in one of TJ’s Mini French Bagettes. Simple but stunning.”
Trader Joe’s Spicy Thai Shrimp Fried Rice Review
Well, well, well, if it isn't Trader Joe's Spicy Thai Shrimp Fried Rice, the latest contender for the 'Most Flavors in a Freezer Bag' award. This little packet is like a mini United Nations of ingredients. You've got your international ensemble of vegetables - carrots, baby corn, and green peas, each vying for a spot on the flavor stage. And let's talk about the heat, shall we? This is one of my perennial favorite grab-and-go meals at Trader Joe’s. I love the heat and the authentic Thai flavors. Trader Joe’s Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips AKA Takis
Trader Joe’s, home of the fine scent of essential oils that lingers in the air, and the sound of yoga mats gently unfurling. Also home of, as I’m sure you know, the Kale Chips (yuk), and Quinoa (yes please). What you may not know is, among this riot of kale chips and quinoa puffs, there sits a most curious prodcut: the Trader Joe’s Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Chili and Lime Flavored. These handsome little spirals of crunch and spice are your local TJ’s bold attempt to clone the famously fiery, and rolled-up bits of heaven that are Takis. But are they really actually a quality match for the monolithic original, or just an also-ran snack for those who are simply too yoga-limber to purchase the real deal? Let’s find out together, as we dive belly first into this crunchy conundrum, and find out whether or not this chip truly represents a snack revolution! Trader Joe’s Potato Pancake Latkes Review

Trader Joe’s Traditional Potato Pancake Latkes – because why bother grating potatoes and crying over chopped onions when you can experience the Hanukkah spirit straight out of the freezer aisle? In a culture of convenience where culinary skills are rarer than a Powerball win, these latkes embody the alluring notion of homemade taste without the pesky effort that comes with it. Yes, purists may balk at the entire concept of store-bought latkes, but when you lack the very culinary expertise required to, say, boil water, rest assured Trader Joe’s is here to save your dinner party credibility with stacks upon stacks of these neatly packaged, uniformly shaped, suspiciously perfect potato pancakes. Just slip them into the air fryer and bam! – you’re basically a gourmet chef, right? Click the button for the full review!
That’s it for last week. Up next week more recipes and we have a round up of our favorite Air Fryer products in the pipeline so stay tuned for that post early next week!

Ok why do I feel like there are snacks in Trader Joe's aisles that only women can see...
